What are your thoughts for the cards on the next banlist? I know we're probably going to get the near to full list in a few days but I'd still like to hear everyone's opinions.

I think:
Forbidden: Cold Wave
Limited: XX-Saber Faultroll, XX-Saber Darksoul, Ronintoadin, Gladiator Beast War Chariot
Semi-Limited: Machina Fortress, Machina Gearframe, Infernity Archfiend, Infernity Launcher, Caius the Shadow Monarch
This would slow down powerful decks without maiming them (since lots of, pardon me, idiots think that Limiting Archfiend and Launcher is fair for the Infernity deck...)

Limiting Archfiend is even worse for us than limiting T Frog was for Froggy Monarch. I can agree with everything on your list, but I'd add in Battle Fader in Semi, since it's easily abused but not as much as Gorz.

That's not a bad idea either. I knew I was missing something, but everyone seems to forget Battle Fader in their speculations...or they want to forget :\ Two seems fair, especially since it's being reprinted and Konami will most likely want to maximize on sales (while still keeping the metagame fair, of course  ) |

Hmm, I hadn't thought of Substitoad. It is powerful and overused. It would be harsh if it went straight to limited though, especially if Ronintoadin did at the same time. It's possible, though.

Yuginewz has a "real" list posted here...my comments: I think banning Substitoad is going too far. Dark Hole + Magician of Faith = Jacked Up WHERE ARE THE SABERS??!foam foam Lots of things seemed to be unconfirmed, I may try and take a closer look at that scan later, but it seems really incomplete as of now. |

I wouldn't count it out as fake just yet, although the lack of Saber is scary. I'd say it's just poorly translated and needs clearer scans, emphasis on the plural, because the forbidden cards aren't in that scan.

Yeah the scans are way too blurry, I don't see how any one can read the words at all! But if the scan is real, then that means that maybe one whole page is reserved for banned cards? That's a scary thought!

Bamboo Shoot is a scary-powerful card (just ask CN, who owns it and terrifies little children with it) but I don't know if it should be banned right away. I think they should get Pineapple before Bamboo Shoot. Rest of the list is good though, I wouldn't mind if it went like that.

It does seem unlikely that Bamboo Shoot will be on the list, especially right away, considering it hasn't seen much, if any use. But the rest of the list is good, I hadn't considered Rekindling but it IS very powerful, basically like Infernity Launcher.
UPDATE: Sorry, Kalin, I modified your post so that it mentioned that the NEW LIST is CONFIRMED. (at least for OCG...c'mon, Darksoul...)

Cold Wave isn't hit? Ouch, I guess X-Sabers, Glads, and Heralds will run rampant this format. Seeing Rescue Cat go is dissapointing though, I must admit. And 3 Cydras and Black Roses terrify me...and Dark Hole will be plenty scary too, since the opponent can just chain his own Starlight Road when he uses it, and you may or may not always have a Starlight Road to stop it.
