The next official set (703) following Star Strike Blast has been announced! Look forward to it, because it will have Scrap and Karakuri (yei!) support, and, according to Shriek, a "new series" of Six Samurais! How exciting! And best of all...the Three Polar Gods!! Discuss this newly-announced set!

I wonder which of the Polar Gods will be the cover card...if any of them are the cover card. But it will probably be one of them...unless it's the actual fifth dragon!
New Karakuri support is to be expected. The "new series" of Six Sam does intrigue me, though. I wonder what they mean by that.

The real fifth dragon would be nice, but Odin is now confirmed to be the cover card. Do you think the Polar Gods will retain their DIVINE Attribute? I hope so, mainly so that there aren't only 2 DIVINE monsters. (And I'm crossing my fingers for the nearly-impossible Divine Charmer if they keep thier Attribute!~)

No Divine Charmer. I'd say there's a chance that the gods will keep their Attribute, especially after the legal Egyptian Gods.
I paid a visit to Shriek, and is it just a mistake, but it seems that Odin will be an Ultra/Ultimate rare...what about Ghost/Holo? I don't want this set to be like the GX sets with Ghosts that aren't the cover card.

I think it's a mistake, I don't think Konami would do that. And I would absolutely hate it if the Polar Gods were still Divine and then we miss out on having a Divine-Attribute Ghost rare.

sounds like fun. On a barely related note, I'm hoping for a "The Creator God of Light, Horakhty" fusion monster one Osiris(Slifer) and Ra are released stateside, ie Obolisk+Osiris+Ra=Horakhty. And of course if they do that, then you'll likely see a Zorc Necrophades as well. (A syncro or Nomi maybe?)

That's possible, but I doubt it will be in this set. I also don't think the Polar Gods will get a Fusion like the Egyptian and Phantom Gods. But they might, on second thought, considering the now-popular Synchro Fusions. But 3 Synchros as Fusion Material? That won't be easy.

maybe a card closer to the XYZ cards, you just have to have them on the field, then you remove them from play to special summon the fusion. Perhaps needing a specific field spell for that, such as Yggdrasil.

Yggdrasil should be a card. I don't care what it does as long as it has to do with the Polar Gods.
Raging Flame Sprite has a good idea with a possible Fusion, although that would be insanely difficult to pull off. It would be easier a possible Fusion was summoned along the lines of how Malefic/Sin monsters get summoned.
Who here thinks there will be a Key Mouse Lock Cat Chain Dog Synchro in this set??!

YES. It's destiny to have one. We just have to wait to see exactly what it will be. But it will come.

It's been a while but now we have a few more cards to go by. It seems like there will be Polar God support, and the required Tuner(s) will have to be "Polar Star Spirits." According to Shriek, and the effect isn't confirmed but chances are it will stay similar to this: Twilight of the Gods Normal Spell Select 1 face-up Polar God monster you control. Give control of it to your opponent. During your opponent's next End Phase, destroy it, and remove from play all cards your opponent controls.
So, in exchange for giving it away for a bit, it gets destroyed, which activates its effects, AND you wipe the opponent's field, not your own, and bypass Starlight Road, and REMOVE the cards so there's no more access to them. So basically, if the Polar Gods get enough support to be fast and reliable, this card will be insanely broken. Basically.

The Polar God "archetype" seems to be decent. But it also seems like the entire set will be wrought with their support. And the sub-archetype is confirmed. It translates from Japanese into "True Six Samurai." Just the fuzzy, poor quality art of the one we know seems badass. I hope the rest, and the new Karakuri, are that way too.

Polar Gods do seem to have a lot of support. But it still says that Odin isn't the Holo/Ghost rare! Noooo! Say it isn't so! I want Ghost Rare Divine Monsters! D:
EDIT: Wait a minute the two Polar Gods that are revealed are Earth and Dark.
NOOOOOOOOOO
