Everyone knows that Monarchs are some of the best monsters in the game. Also, everyone knows there are only a handful of "true" Monarchs. My qualifications for a Monarch are: - at least one tribute
- great effect
- can use over and over
So, you may be asking, what do I consider to be monarchs? Well, here is a list of my favorites. - Caius the Shadow Monarch
- Raiza the Storm Monarch
- Kuraz the Light Monarch
- Jinzo
- Zaborg the Light Monarch
- Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV 6
- Dark Dust Spirit
- Destiny Hero - Plasma
- Light and Darkness Dragon
- Dirg the Dark Monarch
- Thestalos the Firestorm Monarch
- Mobius the Frost Monarch

This is a TCG forum. We call Dirg "Delg" now. XD
Jinzo should be an honorary Monarch. Like, "Jinzo the Machine Monarch." I always thought of "honorary" Monarchs to only require 1 tribute, though, which is honestly what makes them so great: you only need 1 Tribute to gain a lot of field presence.

Yeah, I consider Monarchs to be monsters with "Monarch" in their name -w- And maybe Jinzo because its similar, but not really. Maybe he's a distant cousin?
And yes, Kalin is right. Delg is his name now. You must respect that.

Didn't know that. Ok, he is now Delg the Dark Monarch. But that's kinda stupid.

That it is. But it doesn't matter. Because Delg will rule over us all with an iron, removed-from-play fist. Of darkness.
Delg + Dimensional Fissure = ;_;

I'm no Japanese whiz (CN, care to take over?) but the Shriek translations of the Polar Gods involve "Monarch." So are they also classified as Monarchs, because of their name? Or is it a different "Monarch?" (because I'm aware that there's most likely going to be more than one way of saying monarch in Japanese; like the difference between Demon and Daemon)

Yeah it's a different Kanji. The "Monarch" kanji is 帝 while the "monarch" in the Polar God's name is 皇, which is "ou," which is commonly translated as "king." (example, Nabari no Ou, Kyou kara Ma-ou) So the Monarchs won't be getting Gods in their archetype :<
