What do you think will be the two special cards for the SE of Shining Darkness? I'm thinking it will be a Synchro monster and a Spell or Trap. Maybe Mist Wurm? What do you guys think? Discuss!

Why Mist Wurm?
I think it's too early to say for sure what will be in the Special Edition. But a Spell/Trap is likely.

To be honest, the only reason I have is that I want another Mist Wurm  It also seems to be more popular than when it first came out in HA01. I just wish we could find out more about the SE already! |

Then just go buy more HA. I don't think it will be Mist Wurm. It might be a previously promo card, like the Absolute Powerforce SE.

You're right, that's much more reasonable for an SE. But if we're being unreasonable, I'll say Mirror Force. That's my final answer.

If duelists could have what they want then no, Mirror Force is completely reasonable. It's been reprinted a number of times but each of those times were still made very rare. I think it's about time it was easier to get xD

It would be nice to see an SE print of Mirror Force. As for the other promo, probably a monster, but I'm not sure which one. Maybe one of the older Infernities?
While we're being a but overhopeful...Splendid Venus? XD

Splendid Venus isn't a bad choice, actually. She's very useful. A number of people run her, so it won't be bad if it's chosen.
I actually don't think it will be an Infernity. There's no reason to reprint Dwarf, and Guardian is nice but he's better side-decked. Archfiend is already being reprinted, and Destroyer was in Shining Darkness. There's actually no old Infernity card to reprint. Unless they do something strange and make a TCG-only Infernity card as one of the promos. But that's just uncool. Other archetypes need support, too.

True, true. I would be thrilled if the promo is, like, a holo Amazoness Paladin xD But Splendid Venus would also make me extremely happy.

DREV might have an Amazoness promo, but then again Special Editions have a tendency to not match the actual set.

Still, an Amazoness promo for Shining Darkness would make me happy.

How about the Chaos Tuner? Chaos End Master, I think it's called? Then again, he's good but there's no reason to think he'll be the promo. And Chaos Sorcerer? I personally think he's been printed and reprinted too many times. Kind of like Dark Magician. (Maybe the SE promo will be the 10th Anniversary Dark Magician? ...nah)

I'll cast my vote for Splendid Venus. It makes more sense than Mist Wurm, or even Chaos Sorcerer.

The official site has updated with a plethora of new product news, but nothing about this SE. One comment on Shriek mentioned that the reason why the tins were including so many Supers was because the SEs weren't going to be made any more. Is this official? Does any one have any source for this? I'd really hate to see the SEs go :[ EDIT: I've found the source. TSHD won't get an SE, mainly because of the insane number of other products that will be released over the next few months. While I hate to see my favorite set not get an SE, the SEs are not discontinued and DREV is almost certain to be getting an SE. Since there will be no TSHD SE I will lock this thread, as there is (literally) nothing to speculate or discuss. |
