I didn't think there were so many ways to get around Skill Drain. I guess the only way to beat a sneaky card is to be sneaky yourself. After reading this article from the official Konami blog I really started to appreciate certain combos more. Of course, this just means that the person using Skill Drain can manipulate it as well. And being able to activate an effect, even if it will be negated, is important to take note of. That means that it's easy to get around other similar cards. Most people assume that if the effect will instantly be negated that they cannot attempt to activate it at all. Also notice the heavy use of priority-advantage mentioned in the article, as well as the unorthodox way of thinking when it came to combos: Booking your monster when it was Summoned to get it face-down and have it's effect activate then, activating the effect of DAD even though Skill Drain was activate--just in case, ... The only difficulty I see here is that getting around Skill Drain requires either chancy effects that may or may not get a chance to activate, or well set-up combos that are not easy to pull off. Skill Drain can be avoided, but not very easily. Discuss! How do you get around Skill Drain? I personally use MST :]

Hum... if I play VS someone who play skill drain in his deck, i'm going to side Twister to havw more chance to destroy it. Because skill drain can destroy many deck that use effects of their monsters as main effects!
but i think that MST is the perfect solution, but twister is even good ( or HEAVY STORM xD)

MST, Twister and Heavy are the best comebacks against Skill Drain...and various other horrendous continuous cards. I also side in Twister once I see that the opponent uses Skill Drain, just to increase my chances of drawing a card that will destroy it.

I side in Twister. Simple and effective. I know I should master the art of retaining priority, but sometimes the easier solution is just better.

Royal Decree?
Also, which has priority? Jinzo or Skill Drain?

Royal Decree does stop Skill Drain pretty well.
The Jinzo-Skill Drain depends on which comes first. If Jinzo is summoned, and Skill Drain is set, then Skill Drain cannot be activated. BUT, if Skill Drain is on the field and THEN Jinzo is summoned, then Jinzo's effect is negated.
